Fawn Mckay

Fawn McKay was born 15 September 1915, in Ogden Utah. Fawn MacKay who was a Mormon who was part of the Church of the Latter-Day Saints' original family, combined her brilliant ability to write and her remarkable expertise in research to write the dazzling, psychohistorical autobiography, No Man has My History, which was published in 1945. Its title came from an 1844 funeral speech that Joseph Smith delivered. The speech stated: "You didn't know my name and didn't have a clue about my heart. My past is not known by any one. There is no one who knows my past. Fawn wrote the 29-year-old Fawn. Since then more than three writers have taken on the challenge. Certain writers have honored and denigrated his character, whereas others have attempted to diagnose the issue. The problem isn't because there's not enough evidence but rather they are wildly divergent. The task of assembling these papers--of sorting first-hand information from second-hand plagiarism and fitting Mormon and non-Mormon stories to create a mosaic that makes credible historical claims.
