Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy was born on April 16 1997 in Miami Florida. She is the child of Dennis Alan Taylor, a ex-bank executive, and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist named Anya Taylor-Joy. The father of her is Argentine and Scottish English descendance. Her mother's ancestral lineage is Spanish and English. The four siblings of Taylor-Joy are from her father's ex-married partners. After living within Buenos Aires for six years, the family relocated to Victoria. According to Taylor-Joy the move was traumatic and she refused to learn English in the hopes of moving back to Argentina. The school she attended had to be changed between Northlands and then Hill House. She then went to Queen's Gate School in London, where she took ballet classes and participated in the drama department. She quit the high school aged 16 to pursue an acting profession. Taylor-Joy always knew she wanted to become an actor. Her dream was granted a opportunity by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management, who offered her an opportunity as a model.
