Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu is an American actor, voice actress, director producer and a singer. A beautiful and smart actress she serves as an inspiration to numerous Asian actors who aspire to become famous in Hollywood. In the wake of a number of first appearances in various popular television series she gained fame after joining the cast of the show Legal Comedy Ally McBeal where she played the villainous Ling Woo. The fame gained by her was translated into roles on the big screen for Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels and other films. The actress also gave a superb performance as Japanese criminal O'Ren Ishii In Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. The same year, she also took on the lead role in a few films that failed at the box office, such as Rise: Blood Hunter. She then began to voice characters from animated films such as Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. The small screen role of Mia Mason in Cashmere Mafia failed to produce the desired results. Southland's critically-acclaimed police drama, Southland and a recurring performance helped Liu revive her career as an actress. Liu carefully selects roles to avoid being disregarded in an industry that is highly competitive. Liu is a Chinese woman who has accepted her background, but doesn't let it limit her artistically.
