Harry Edward Styles, known in the world of music as Harry Styles, is a British singer and composer known as a member of the band One Direction. The father of Des Styles (father) and Anne Cox, Harry Styles was born February 1, 1994 in Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles was a student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School where as well as three of his classmates, he formed his own band, White Eskimo. Following their victory in the Battle of Bands 2009 thanks to their outstanding performance, they also participated in the 2010 Battle of Bands. He always had an interest in music but also wanted to pursue a career as a lawyer, physiotherapist or even scout. Working part-time in a local bakery was his first occupation in order to provide for his family. Harry Styles, in 2010 was a contestant on The X Factor. His song Is not She Lovely was recorded by Stevie Wonder. This meant that his band needed to be split. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury participant on The X Factor suggested Harry Styles to join the band One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. Simon Cowell sponsored this five-person group, and they founded in the year 2010. In the contest, the group played songs, such as My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart from Bonnie Tyler so the group was one of the contenders for the prize. They came third in front of Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles, his group as well as Cowell didn't get the win in the contest. But Cowell gave Harry Styles a 2 million dollar contract with Syco.
