Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been a Greek American columnist, author and entrepreneur for more than twenty years. She is a founder of The Huffington Post and the CEO of Thrive Global. Author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is a journalist, writer, philanthropist and television host, and owner of The Huffington Post. Her birthplace was in Greece and relocated to England at age 16. At Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA in Economics. In her 21st year, she was head of the famous debate society The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign born student to do so. She became a syndicated conservative writer following her graduation. When The Huffington Post launched a few years following, she launched an online platform to voice opinions with a critique of current the political landscape. Her popularity enabled her to get a variety of stars to voice their views regarding current affairs, the as well as politics and culture. Arianna gained fame in 2003 when she decided to stand as an independent candidate during the California recall election in order to succeed the Governor Davis. Aside from that, Arianna was also the leader of the Detroit initiative that promoted fuel efficient cars.
